Love & Squalor “Pet Matt” pét-nat is a delicious sparkling sensation. This bottle is 100% zinfandel rosé (so it’s pink!), bottle fermented and disgorged. Every bottle touched at least 20 times! It is a labor of love (& a bit squalid). It sparkles in the glass AND on your tongue. This rosé of zinfandel is ripe fruit and a zing of tart. It has a touch of residual sugar with enhances a nice round palate.

Commonly known as pet-nat, these naturally sparkling wines are the ancestral kin of méthode Champenoise where the wine finishes its primary fermentation in the bottle, trapping carbon dioxide and a sediment of yeast lees. This winemaking style is known as méthode ancestral, which produces a simpler, more rustic sparkling wine than Champagne. Where Champagne is typically crystal clear, pét-nats can sometimes be a little cloudy. These wines have been disgorged of that sediment. It is unfined and unfiltered, and sealed with a crown cap, rather than a cork and cage.
